Shoppers have hit back at the ‘liberal leftie lovey BBC’ for bullying Tesco by investigating their incorrectly priced shelves, by confirming they’re happy to be ripped off in order to support the supermarket make more money.

Only a few years ago the retail giant was suffering from a slowdown in sales, huge losses and was resorting to reporting false sales figures.

Theresa Connell from Swansea said: “I remember Tesco losing money like it was yesterday, it was a very stressful time.  I couldn’t sleep at night thinking about it.

“I was losing my temper and striking my children when they refused to eat their Tesco Finest lasagnes.  The world was crumbling around us and we’ll never know how close we came to Armageddon.

“Since Tesco has been turning a profit, my kids don’t have bruises anymore and I’m living a well-rounded and fulfilled life.

“With that in mind, I don’t mind paying an extra bit of money to help Tesco make millions of pounds again, but come at me with more taxes to support vital public services and I’ll gouge your eyes out.”
