A married man from Morriston keeps going on his single mate’s Tinder all the time, but only to help out his friend.

32 year old Pete Bowen has been married for four years. Recently he’s been making regular trips to old friend Rob Gray’s house and place of work, to ‘just be curious’ about what’s on the dating app.

Rob said: “Pete was asking me all about being single and dreadful casual dating, like it was some nostalgic trip into the hell of living by himself, eating what he wanted and masturbating in the lounge.

“I told him all about online dating, the countless, nightmarish casual sex encounters and low commitment flirting with women often out of my league from behind a smart phone. You literally don’t even speak to some of them, or have to pretend to be interested in what they have to say. It’s shameful, shameful stuff.

“That was six weeks ago and I’ve seen him every day since. He says he’s looking out for my welfare and making sure I don’t speak to too many women who don’t expect much in return. It’s times like this you know who your friends are.”

Pete added: “Rob’s just sleeping with all these women, I know Rob and he has all the charm of Nigel Farage. Many of these women are way out of his league, it’s just, I don’t, how?

“I figured I should step in and make sure he has some help on Tinder, he may get a repetitive strain injury from all that swiping with his thumb and I don’t want that to happen, not on my watch.

“I’m just being a good mate, that’s all it is.”

Rob continued: “Pete’s picked out a nice girl for me, who looks a lot like his sister in law, which is a coincidence. He’s done everything, from swiping, the small talk and he’s even sent her some pictures. Not sure which ones, but I’m sure they’re fine.

“We’re meeting up next week and she seems keen, Pete’s offered to chaperone and even take pictures, its almost like he’s living the whole process through me.

“He’s a true mate. So many people have hidden motives nowadays, but definitely not Pete.”
