A couple from Sketty who plough their way through two bottles of Blossom Hill every night have confirmed cannabis is bad and terrible.
Couple Pete Bowen and Theresa Connell strongly oppose the legalisation of the drug because they feel it’ll encourage poor health and addiction.
Pete said: “Do I want a drug on the shelves of Tesco? Let me think about this, er, no. What next? Heroin on my Krispy Kreme doughnuts?
“It’s not like we can readily buy dangerous and addictive substances 24/7 which are heavily taxed now. Public health must come first.”
Theresa said: “Some people think cannabis can be used for medicinal purposes, what’s wrong with opioids and other prescription drugs?
“When I get home from work feeling dreadful we just open up some wine and get slowly drunk seven nights a week. It’s not doing us any harm.”
Pete continued: “I’m tired all the time, my eyes are turning yellow and I have recurring stomach cramps. But I’m not reaching for the cannabis.
“A bottle of wine and four Ibuprofen sorts me right out. All readily available right now and completely harm free, why else would it be legal?”
Theresa added: “Last night I blacked out around midnight and woke up at 7am, so I’m sleeping really well at the moment.
“These hippies need to take a leaf out of our book.”
