If you go down to Llansamlet today, your excitement you’d better appease. If you go down to Tesco Extra, you’ll probably get diabetes.

The Coca-Cola truck will be parked up at Tesco Extra today, signifying the start of the annual religious event of the Coca-Cola truck driving around the country.

Morriston resident Pete Bowen said: “I can’t wait for this, with all the Muslims and the school nativity plays being canned, I’m pleased we can finally be festive and take back control of Christmas.

“Brexit is starting to pay off like I thought it would. Sure, my butter is 40% more expensive, but I’m going to recoup that with all the free coke. It’s the second big red vehicle I’ve bought into which will deliver so much good for us all.”

Parent Theresa Connell said: “Yay coke! It’s straight from the truck, so it’s the good stuff too.

“We visited the coke truck last year, it was so good that my 5 year old said she couldn’t feel her teeth, I told her you can’t feel something you don’t have!

“It’s such a good opportunity to bond.”

Cautious Dad Rob Gray added: “We may pay it a visit, but it largely depends if the kids eat all of their McDonalds or not.

“I’m very ‘aware’ of the dangers of coke, so provided the kids eat their dinner, including their McFlurry by the way, then they can go and do coke as a treat.”
