Girl group Little Mix will fill the Liberty Stadium one more time before Barnsley at home becomes a reality, it’s been confirmed.
The X Factor winners are touring a number of Championship grounds, including Hull, Derby and Bolton, reminding Swansea City all about the fact they’re playing second tier of English football this season.
Landore resident Pete Bowen said: “I always felt our Premier League status was secure when we had Kings of Leon, the Manics and even Take That coming to the Liberty.
“When I heard during last season that Little Mix were coming, I knew it was game over. We could’ve signed Messi in January, but it wouldn’t have mattered because Little Mix announcing they were playing here killed off all hope of staying up.”
Cwmbwrla resident Theresa Connell said: “Its sad that my final farewell to the Liberty will be to watch Little Mix, they’re very talented and everything, but I can’t see them selling the same Pies we have on match day.
“I also won’t be able to chant offensive songs at the singers, because there’ll be kids there. So I’ll probably tweet them abuse instead which just isn’t the same.”
Rob Gray from St Thomas said: “I initially though Little Mix was a South American winger we were signing.
“After an admittedly enjoyable hour on Google images, it was confirmed that this wasn’t the case.”
