A man who used ‘UKIP common sense’ and xenophobia as his informed choices for voting to leave the EU has declared that being the UK Capital of Culture is rubbish in comparison to being the European Capital of Culture.
42 year old Pete Bowen from Llansamlet, made the claim after reading today’s Daily Express, which confirmed everything was fine apart from a killer storm which may blow immigrants into your job.
Bowen said: “Being the UK Capital of Culture is a bit of a damp squib in comparison to being the European Capital of Culture. I don’t really understand why it’s changed?
“If we were part of something across the wider continent then there’d be a bit more credibility wouldn’t there? Why would we willingly remove ourselves from that, it’s a ridiculously short sighted and stupid thing to do.
“If we were European Capital of Culture then there’d probably be more of an influx of people contributing to Swansea, which is all money in the coffers. It’s like we’ve been forced into a UK only competition with no credible advice and probably a load of lies, why do people fall for this?”
He added: “Good news about Brexit being such a raging success though. I’m glad I listened to the right people on that.”
