St David has spoken out to confirm it was in fact St George who slayed the dragon.

St David, from St David’s, made the announcement as people continue to assume he slayed a dragon, just because it’s on the Welsh flag.

St David said: “Why would I massacre a dragon? Firstly it’s a symbol of our great nation and secondly I’m vegetarian.

“I was a humble monk who dressed our soldiers in leeks, because the colour combo with the uniform made them work it on the battlefield.

“Also, if I hadn’t raised the land during a sermon in Llanddewi Brefi, then Little Britain would’ve had to rely on something which was actually funny to make their show a success.

“What really pisses me off is that Michael Evis gets all the credit for Glastonbury, but really I discovered it when I built a monastery down there.

“I’m not bitter, I just wish people wouldn’t believe the media so much. I just did the little things in life.”
