People across Swansea face an anxious wait to see if weed dealers will be operating during the cold snap.
As the cold weather set in many smokers made provisions at the start of the week, but due to finishing work early yesterday they made a significant dent in their stock.
Sketty Park man Pete Bowen said: “Trouble is my guy isn’t up until 11:00 on a good day, so I’m just waiting around now.
“I know the schools are closed, I know what buses are running, I just don’t know if I’ll be able to buy more weed.”
Penlan resident Theresa Connell said: “If I don’t hear anything soon I’ll have to start bonging peanut shells like I used to back in the day.
“We’re just not geared up for this weather and our vital services are falling apart.”
Swansea Council spokesperson Rob Gray added: “We understand this is an uncertain time and we’re doing our best to keep everyone updated.
“We’ve messaged dealers across the city for them to ‘give a signal when the grass is green’ and we’ll update our Twitter feed when we know.”
