Swansea City fans who are disappointed about the club’s impending relegation, have been reminded that there’s lots of positives to focus on.

With Swansea City being all but relegated from the Premier League after seven years, supporters have been urged to not be so short sighted and to bask in the glory of what’s happening elsewhere.

Swansea spokesperson Pete Bowen said: “All that football nonsense will be old news by tomorrow, there’s so much positivity to focus on.

“As a country we’re forking out 30-odd million on a Royal Wedding without getting a Bank Holiday for it this month, not to mention the millions we’ve spent renovating their new house. How great is that?

“Then there’s Brexit of course, which is just what our slowing economy needs at the moment. Hoping for some more austerity too, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself!

“The automotive and housing sectors may crash at some point and probably spiral us into another recession. But great news if you’re in the repossession game.”

Bowen continued: “President Trump is coming over of course, that’ll be nice. Oh and I nearly forgot, Little Mix are playing at the Liberty in July.”

Swans fan Theresa Connell added: “Actually this guy’s right, it’s not like Swansea have lost their identity and are manager-less or anything.

“This has really put things into perspective, especially after Virgin are making me redundant before Christmas.

“When Prince Harry marries Lateysha from The Valleys or whoever the Daily Mail is trying to compare her to, then I’m sure all will be forgiven.”
