US President Donald Trump has launched an astonishing trade war against local tanning company Lextan.
The President, himself often photographed with a lightly sun kissed complexion, has taken aim at the South Wales sunbed business as he hopes to ‘Make America tanned again’.
White House spokesperson Pete Bowen said: “We’re proposing tariffs on cancerous UV rays because we don’t see why anyone should look as good as the President for just 45p a minute.
“We conducted some UV analysis across the world and found that Swansea has a remarkably high density of people glowing with radiation, so we’re hitting them where it burns.
“When you see people in Swansea looking as deliciously colourful as the President of the United States does, you need to make changes and you need to make them pay.”
Frequent tanner Theresa Connell said: “I don’t know where this madness will end. Trump has terrible hair too, so what does this mean for my weave?
“I could get a spray tan I suppose, but it’s just so fake. I can’t tease my Instagram followers with bikini pics taken from inside the sunbed then either.
“He’s a set of acrylic nails away from ruining my life.”
